Beacon Partners has announced its role as fee developer for a new Class A manufacturing/distribution facility in the International Business Park in Concord. The 50,425-square-foot Class A space on a 4.55 acre site started construction in first quarter and is expected to be ready for lease before the end of 2nd Quarter 2016.

The facility, located at the intersection of I-85 and Hwy. 73, features 24-foot clear access, up to 12 dock doors, and an oversized drive-in door. “The  future occupant will also benefit from a large, expandable car parking area in front of the facility, a separate truck entrance at the rear, large window elevations on the office corner offering a Class A curbside appeal,” says Sean McDonnell, Beacon Partners Director of Build to Suit Development who is developing the project on behalf of the ownership entity.

The project’s contractor is Myers & Chapman, and Merriman Schmitt is the architect. Leasing is being handled by Anne Johnson and Bryan Crutcher of CBRE.

“Having a prime location in such a dynamic and fast-growing economic region makes the International Business Park a very attractive place for companies in many different industries to grow their success,” says CBRE’s Anne Johnson. “Our new tenant will enjoy the advantage of being just 20 minutes from Uptown Charlotte and Charlotte Douglas International Airport, surrounded by some 30 other foresighted companies that call the International Business Park home.”
