Beacon Partners expands industrial offerings in Upstate SC

Beacon Partners announced the groundbreaking of 545 Brookshire Road, a 240,020 square foot speculative industrial facility in Spartanburg County scheduled for completion in February 2016.

“We’re very excited to grow Beacon’s industrial presence in the Upstate,” said Sean McDonnell of Beacon Partners. “This facility offers a great opportunity for us to better serve the increasing demand for Class A space in Greenville-Spartanburg and along the I-85 corridor.”

Situated on 14 acres and 0.3 mile from Highway 101 in Greer, 545 Brookshire Road offers state of the art design, features and functionality to accommodate a wide variety of today’s industrial users. The location approximately two miles from I-85, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and the South Carolina Inland Port at Greer provides superb access to the local transportation infrastructure. Tim Robertson, Director of Industrial Leasing at Beacon will lead the leasing efforts at 545 Brookshire Road. The building features ESFR sprinkler system, 32’ clear height, a 185’ truck court to accommodate on-site trailer parking and ample car parking for employees.

Beacon partnered at 545 Brookshire Road with Allen Cullum, developer of nearby Velocity Park, who has longstanding family ties to the Greer community. “It’s gratifying to see this building going up at such a promising time in the Upstate. South Carolina is doing an exceptionally good job with economic development these days and we’re thankful to be a part of that growth here in Greer.”

This project continues Beacon’s recent expansion activity in the Upstate totaling over 1,000,000 square feet of development and acquisition activity in the last12 months . In addition to breaking ground at 545 Brookshire Road, Beacon is concurrently developing Carolina Place, a speculative 50,400 square foot facility in Fort Mill, SC and in April delivered Riverwalk Commerce Center, a 277,000 square foot speculative facility in Rock Hill, SC. Beacon’s recent acquisition activity in the Upstate consists of distribution facilities totaling 350,000 square feet in Spartanburg County and 255,000 square feet in Fort Mill.
