Beacon Partners leases space for Girls on the Run International headquarters

Beacon Partners has announced that an entire floor of its building at 801 E. Morehead Street will soon become home to the headquarters of Girls on the Run International (GOTR). The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit formed in Charlotte in 1996 to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Two decades of significant growth have enabled the organization to further its objectives and it now oversees 226 chapters across the U.S that serve over 180,000 girls each year. “Girls on the Run has outgrown the two separate buildings it currently occupies in Myers Park, and our prime Midtown building will give them room to expand their horizons even further,” said Kristy Venning of Beacon Partners. “As anchor tenant in the building, they will also benefit from an enhanced professional image and high branding visibility.”

“It has been a pleasure to work with Beacon Partners to expand our headquarters,” said Elizabeth Kunz, CEO of Girls on the Run. “In 2005, we had a small 1,000 square feet office on E. Morehead Street, so it is quite gratifying to now be returning to the area and calling this beautiful space home.”

Beacon purchased 801 E. Morehead in 2013 and has since completed major exterior and interior renovations. Jim Thorp and Bryan White of JLL represented GOTR, which plans to move into its new 10,607 square-foot office space in October.
