Beacon Partners purchased an institutional quality, 350,000 square foot, fully leased distribution facility in eastern Spartanburg County near the Greenville Spartanburg International Airport.
Located at 1201 Woods Chapel Road, the facility is situated less than two miles from the I-85 – SC Highway 101 interchange and within three miles of the Inland Port at Greer and GSP International Airport. The property contains approximately 25 acres and the facility features concrete construction, 25’+ clear heights, 55’ x 52’ column spacing and a spacious truck court with abundant truck loading doors.
“This is a really functional asset in a prime location for distribution users. The acquisition provides an excellent opportunity to expand Beacon’s distribution portfolio along I-85 into Greenville Spartanburg,” says Chip Stanley a Partner with Beacon Partners. “We’re really excited about this investment and continue to look for additional industrial opportunities in the Carolinas.”
The acquisition complements Beacon’s 6.5 million square foot Carolinas industrial portfolio. The firm has been an active commercial buyer during the past year, closing on over 1.85 million square feet of existing buildings and constructing new speculative space totaling 628,000 square feet.
Patrick Gildea with CBRE represented the seller and Beacon represented itself.
