Rob Reid brings an uncommon mix of Wall Street, Capitol Hill, and Main Street to his role as Beacon's Chief Operating Officer. A North Carolina native with roots in the Philadelphia area, Rob graduated from Wake Forest University before heading to Charlotte as an Investment Banking Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities. The pull of public service led him to Washington, D.C., where he held roles in both chambers before taking on senior leadership in the 2012 U.S. Presidential campaign, steering electoral and communications strategy across key swing states.

When the campaign trail settled, Rob moved on to commercial real estate. He spent nearly four years at Medalist Capital in Charlotte on the capital markets side before joining Kane Realty in 2018, where he most recently led their residential platform — spanning property management, development strategy, and capital markets and investor relations. Now, as COO at Beacon, Rob brings that full arc of experience to bear, overseeing the firm's day-to-day operations and helping build on the platform Beacon has established across the Carolinas.
